Paul Dolby - President

Born and raised in the Midwest city of Columbus, Ohio; Paul has spent his entire professional life in Sales, Marketing and Administration.

After leaving the Ohio State University where he majored in mathematics, Paul entered the US Army during the Viet Nam era. He did a tour in Binh Dinh Province (II Corp) in the central highlands of what was then the Republic of Viet Nam. Paul’s military job was as a US Army Reporter. He wrote daily news releases describing the military action and the civilian activities in his area of operation. A few of his articles made their way into very well known daily newspapers throughout the world and most of his releases were published in outlets of varying size and prestige.

Paul entered sales immediately upon his return to civilian life. He started in the insurance and financial services industry where he cut his professional teeth in direct sales and marketing.

He was soon recruited into the sales of tangible goods. He became a territorial salesperson for one of the leading consumer products in the US at the time. He earned regional and national recognition before joining a regional custom product consumer company.

After a successful few years in which he helped the company grow into new areas, Paul was presented the opportunity to start his own construction services business. There he gained experience in all the facets of business: soliciting work, pricing and estimating, staffing, scheduling, administration, collection, and customer liaison.
After his business partner bought him out of the construction services business, Paul accepted a position as a corporate recruiter with the industry leader in the field. There he recruited top sales talent for some of the most prestigious names in the metals industry.

As his children grew, Paul decided to follow a career path that would have more flexible hours to accommodate parenthood involvement with his children’s activities; so he became licensed in Real Estate. As a Realtor, he practiced both commercial and residential aspects of the industry. This dual role necessitated transitioning from the emotional based client to the analytical business client several times per week.

The excitement of the aviation industry and the lure of the Florida climate brought Paul to Aviation Advisors in 2004. Since then, he has enjoyed the interaction with his numerous clients and the satisfaction of a rewarding business.
